1. Halong Bay
Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.
2. Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park is a protected area in north-central Vietnam bordering the Hin Namno Reserve in Laos. Characterized by mountains, tropical forests and underground rivers, it’s known for its ancient limestone karsts and vast network of caves. These include the huge Sơn Đoòng cave and Phong Nha cave, which is big enough for boats. The area’s rich wildlife includes tigers, black bears and elephants.
3. My Son
Mỹ Sơn is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples in central Vietnam, constructed between the 4th and the 14th century by the Kings of Champa, an Indianized kingdom of the Cham people.
4. Sapa Countryside
Sapa is a wonderfully beautiful city located in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, known as the “Tonkinese Alps”, near the Chinese border in northwestern Vietnam. Many hill tribes also live in Sapa and its surrounding area. The village is host to lush green vegetation and the highest peak in Vietnam, Fansipan.
5. Ba Be National Park
Ba Bể National Park is a reserve in Bắc Kạn Province, Northeast region of Vietnam, set up to protect a very murky lake along with surrounding limestone and highland evergreen forests. It is located about 240 kilometers northwest of the capital city Hanoi. This place is also known as Top 15 Tourist Places in Vietnam.
6. Cat Ba Island
Cát Bà Island is the largest of the 367 islands spanning 260 km² that comprise the Cat Ba Archipelago, which makes up the southeastern edge of Lan Ha Bay in Northern Vietnam. Cat Ba island has a surface area of 285 km² and maintains the dramatic and rugged features of Ha Long Bay.
7. Ha Giang
Hà Giang is a city located on the banks of the Lô River in the Northeast region of Vietnam. It is the capital of Hà Giang Province. The city has an area of 135.33 km² and a population of 55 559 inhabitants. The population is composed of 22 different ethnicities, of which 55.7% are Kinh and Tày people.
8. Phu Quoc Island
Phú Quốc is a Vietnamese island off the coast of Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. It’s known for white-sand beaches and resorts, most of which are along the palm-lined southwest coast. More than half of the island is part of Phú Quốc National Park, which features mountains, dense tropical jungle, hiking trails and wildlife. Duong Dong is the largest town, with day and night markets selling crafts, produce and fish.
9. Lan Ha Bay
The Lan Ha Bay was extremely beautiful & less touristy compared to Halong Bay. Geologically, Lan Ha is an extension of Halong Bay but sits in a different province.
10. Ban Gioc Waterfall
Ban Gioc waterfalls is a collective name for two waterfalls on the Quây Sơn River that straddle the international border between China and Vietnam; more specifically located between the Karst hills of Daxin County, Guangxi, and Trùng Khánh District, Cao Bằng Province.
11. Temple Of Literature
Văn Miếu is a temple dedicated to Confucius in Hanoi, northern Vietnam. The temple also hosts the Imperial Academy, Vietnam’s first national university. The temple was built in 1070 at the time of Emperor Lý Thánh Tông. It is one of several temples in Vietnam which is dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars.
12. Da Nang
Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It’s a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills to the west of the city. Here the hillside Hải Vân Pass has views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains. And in this city very popular place is Golden bridge.
13. Hanoi
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.
14. Ninh Binh
Ninh Binh is a playground for adventurers, and an oasis for nature lovers. This city is a small city in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam. It is the capital of Ninh Bình Province.
15. Fansipan Mountain
Fansipan is a mountain in Vietnam. The height of the mountain was 3,143 meters in 1909, but now the height of the mountain is 3,147.3 meters. It is the highest mountain in the Indochinese Peninsula, hence its nickname “the Roof of Indochina”.
